Outback Academy would like to pay tribute to our Echuca students, community members, host employers and our outstanding teacher and support staff, including Vicki Walker and Rick Smolears from Bendigo TAFE.

Thanks to the Moama Bowling Club who host our apprentice, Matt and supported apprentice Ashley, before his move to Tjapukai Cultural Centre in Cairns. Moama Bowling Club.

A special thanks to Tjapukai Aboriginal Cultural Park – Cairns Day & Night Tours for hosting our first interstate placement from the program. Vicki and the community are overjoyed at how happy Ashley is in his new employment.

Thanks also to Dean and Renee Oberin at the American Hotel Echuca and all our Echuca based businesses, for providing employment opportunities for Master Class students.

Finally, a big thanks to all our employers, across Australia, who support the Outback Academy, Australia’s first group of intensively trained Indigenous hospitality professionals in bush native foods.
